This month we're talking about our Summer Highlights from 2015.
First, can we take a moment to awe at the fact that summer is nearly over? Didn't it just start? I, for one, am not ready for snow, cold, and all that comes with the turn of the seasons. I do love me some fall, but not so much of that icy white stuff that follows....
So what did we do this summer?
Went to the lake a few times
Celebrated Father's Day
Joined a CSA
Played in the backyard quite a bit
Emily turned 4!
I ran. A lot.
Then, not so much, and my bike became my new friend.
Went to the Big City
And that about sums it up! There were some other things in there as well. A few more birthdays, some family time, lots of cooking, and only one bonfire (so far!). But the summer is not officially over yet!
Emily and I are having a little staycation for a few days next week, and them I'm off to North Carolina for a runner's retreat at ZAP Fitness Camp.
I am excited and kind of nervous!
So how has your summer been? Link up and tell us all about it!
The retreat sounds really interesting!! Should be a lot of fun!! Look forward to hearing more about your experience there!!
ReplyDeleteI am definitely looking forward to it! It's not something I would typically do, but I thought it would be great prep before my first full marathon. We'll see!
DeleteWhat a fun summer! I loved that adorable photo of your daughter with the carrots--too cute! :) And I also loved that lake view, it's the perfect view!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful staycation and rest of your summer--it's not quite over yet!
Thanks for linking up and for being patient with the link-up delay!
I'm not a huge lake fan, but that one is definitely my favorite. Thanks for hosting!
DeleteOoo! A runners retreat! That sounds awesome. Interested to hear how it goes!
ReplyDeleteI will definitely be doing a post about it!
DeleteOut of curiosity....what happens on a runners retreat? Because when I think of retreats, I think of a lot of sitting, not running :P
ReplyDeleteHa! Well yes, there is some running. But they also have classes on various running related topics, a form diagnosis session, as well as time to relax. I think we may even get massages!
Deletewhat a fun summer! visiting a lake a few times sounds wonderful :D stopping by from the circle link-up!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great summer! What is the Big City where you are? For me, it's NYC lol so I'm curious! Good luck at the running retreat!
ReplyDeleteMinneapolis. We live in a very, very small town. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteSounds like a fun summer! I have heard great things about the ZAP Fitness Camp (it's only about two hours from where I live). I can't wait to hear how it goes!
ReplyDeleteThose carrots look so yummy. Yay for fresh veggies and supporting local farmers.
